"Sonoma Surf" is a revised version of "Ocean Commotion" which is a small painting I did a few years back. I wanted to try a much larger piece with more wave and less rock. I am happy with the result. The "hook" that draws you into this image is the emerald light illuminating the lip and it's contrast with the dark wave face below and the dark rocks behind.
