The Perfect Barn

What is a perfect barn? From an artist's viewpoint, it's not new and shiny with a brand-new tractor parked outside. Nor is it falling down. The corrugated iron roof has some rust and the paint is peeling off in places. In short, it has a mellow patina of age from decades of service to its owners. This old barn lives near Dillon Beach in Marin County California. The surrounding landscape is from my imagination. The painting is oil on canvas, 20 x 28, $1,800, framed. After mounting, he applies a brushstroke texture to each piece.
