Oil on canvas, 18 x 24. I was commissioned to make this painting of the property in rural Sebastopol,CA where the client grew up. It was a gift to his brother. He asked me to evoke their best childhood memory of the family apple ranch in April, circa 1955 with the trees in full bloom and Dad's old mustard colored '49 Chevy pickup parked in the orchard. I had to recreate the old hop kiln building in the background from old photographs. There is only a shell there now. Sheridan collection
