Schoolhouse Beach is one of the many pristine beaches nestled along the rugged Sonoma coast. The distant headland is the Meyer’s Grade area beyond the mouth of the Russian River. During most of the winter months, this part of the coast is hammered by huge surf that is generated by wild storms in the North Pacific. The waves often travel for thousands of miles before reaching California. Oil on canvas, 30”x 40”. George Siefert collection
