24 x 36, Oil on canvas. Back in the 80s I did a number of hyper-realist paintings like this. This one was a commission for Ken & Lory Shimizu who owned this 76 station in Hilo Hawaii. I still use some of the techniques I learned from those paintings although I have evolved a much more painterly style, delighting more in the brushstrokes and the qualities of the paint.
