22 x 30, Acrylic airbrush on canvas. From early in my painting career (1980s) when I was working with photorealist techniques I painted this portrait of the former mayor of Chicago. After it was rejected from a juried art show in Hilo, Hawaii I later learned that the juror never realized it was a painting and rejected it while thinking it was a photograph. The painting was destroyed in a fire in 1990
